The North is said to be the cradle of Vietnamese civilization because of its rich culture and various scenic spots. This trip will give you an enjoyable chance and experience by visiting some of Northern Splendours including capital of Hanoi, World’s Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay, the former capital of Hoa Lu and limestone caves of Tam Coc – Bich Dong

FULL ITINERARY:
DAY 1: ARRIVE HANOI - HA LONG
Upon arrival at Hanoi Noi Bai Airport, you will be met and transferred to Ha Long City. Crossing the rural plain of the Red River Delta, we arrive in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam’s most famous World Heritage Site. Dinner on your own and overnight in Ha Long City.
DAY 2: HANOI - HA LONG BAY (B, L)
We cruise amongst the limestone islets and explore the wondrous caves like beautiful Dau Go Grotto and Thien Cung Cave with richly ornamented stalactites and stalagmites. Enjoy a lavish seafood feast. Back to the land after 5 hours cruise and head to Hanoi.
Take a city tour by cyclo and a performance of traditional Vietnamese Water Puppetry. Dinner on your own and in Hanoi.
DAY 3: HANOI (B)
Commencing the day with a heritage walk, we visit President HCM’s Mausoleum and humble house on stilts, as well as the famous One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature (Vietnam’s first University). Learn about Vietnam’s handicraft at Craftlink, a not-profit-organization seeking markets for poor traditional artisans.
Visit the museum of Ethnology learn about Vietnam’s ethnic diversity. After enjoying the tranquility of Hoan Kiem Lake’s Ngoc Son Temple we are free to explore the intriguing and bustling, Old Quarter with its 36 streets packed with traditional handicrafts and goods. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 4: HANOI - HOA LU - TAM COC (B, L)
South of Hanoi in Ninh Binh province is Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s former capital in the 10th century, where we visit the two remaining temples of Dinh and Le dynasties. We continue to travel by rowboat on Ngo Dong River through the region of limestone mountains to visit the magnificent grotto of Tam Coc (Three Caves), so called "Ha Long Bay on land".
Continue to visit Bich Dong Pagoda, a combination of three pagodas on the Lower, Middle, and Upper levels of a scenic mountain. Be back to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 5: DEPARTURE (B)
Free time for your last minute shopping in the old quarter before departing to the airport for your ongoing flight.
